As a result of the subsequent roundtable discussion, the more than 80 experts came to the conclusion that quality seals are a crucial instrument for actively promoting the use of cloud technologies, according to the BMWi. The detailed discussion confirmed that the categories of the Trusted Cloud criteria catalog cover the central questions from a user’s perspective. It also showed that the main topics of data protection / DSGVO and data locality / free flow of data are congruent with the priority issues of the EU Commission.

The BMWi sees these findings not only as confirmation of what has been achieved so far of particular significance for Trusted Cloud, but also for the future, as the results of the conference form the basis for further activities in the field of cloud technologies in the European Union.
